Week 7: Cartographic Creations an Esri Tutorial
This week we followed the ESRI Cartographic Creations tutorial online (Here) to create a map on Arctic Sea Ice Decline. The tutorial itself was easy to follow with bolded words, split sections and easy writing. However, somehow my chart did not end up looking the same as the Esri master map's. I tried to redo the chart several times but to no avail, unless of course I remade the whole map and imputed all the data again. Having already made it to the final section of the tutorial I did not think that plan was smart. I did decided to include that struggle here, so that if others in this class encountered the same trouble would know they were not alone.

Have to say that this tutorial made an incredible looking map. It's definitely great for presentational material, but I don't see much of the benefit and doing all the wording/font changes when it comes to other GIS tasks like doing basic spatial analysis.
